Who's behind pingwa
A small, independently run service. No company wrapper, no growth team — one operator who has to look you in the eye when it breaks.
The operator
What to expect
pingwa is self-hosted on the operator's own homelab and run as a serious side project, not a funded startup. That means: honest uptime (see status), no surprise shutdowns for lack of a funding round, and direct human support — but not a 24/7 enterprise desk. If something breaks, you reach a person, not a queue.
Open-source client
The client you actually run — the CLI and the MCP server — is open-source under the MIT license. You can read exactly what it sends and where. The delivery backend stays private, but nothing you run against pingwa is a black box. Source · Privacy.
