The deal, in plain words.

pingwa sends WhatsApp notifications to your own phone from your scripts and agents. By texting join or creating an account, you agree to these terms.

What you can use it for

pingwa is for notifying yourself. You send messages through the API and they arrive on the one phone that joined. That is the whole product, and it is the only thing you may use it for.

What you must not do

pingwa shares one WhatsApp sender number across many accounts. Abuse by one person can get that number blocked by Meta and break the service for everyone. So the rules are strict and enforced.

  • No marketing, promotions, or bulk messaging of any kind.
  • No sending to other people. pingwa only ever texts the number that joined, and you must not try to work around that.
  • No illegal, harmful, deceptive, or abusive content.
  • No reselling the service or sharing one account across many end users.
  • No attempts to break, overload, or bypass rate limits and quotas.
  • Honor stop. If a recipient opts out, sending stays off until they opt back in with join.

Suspension and removal

We may suspend or delete any account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe it breaks these terms or puts the shared number at risk. Protecting delivery for everyone else comes first.

Best-effort delivery, no guarantees

pingwa is a small, solo-run service hosted on the operator's own hardware, and it depends on Meta's WhatsApp API. It is provided as is, with no warranty and no uptime or delivery guarantee. Messages can be delayed, dropped, or undelivered.

  • Do not use pingwa as your only channel for safety-critical, medical, financial, or emergency alerts.
  • To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for missed, delayed, or undelivered messages, or for any loss that results from using or not being able to use the service.

Plans and billing

  • Free plan: 30 paid-route notifications per month, plus unlimited messages inside your open 24h reply window.
  • Pro plan: $9 per month for 500 notifications; Scale plan: $19 per month for 2,000 notifications. Billed through Stripe.
  • Switch tier or cancel anytime from the Stripe billing portal in your panel. Access continues until the end of the paid period. Partial months are not refunded.
  • WhatsApp message pricing is set by Meta and varies by country. Plan prices and limits can change, and we will post changes here before they take effect.

Your data

How we handle your number, keys, and messages is covered on the privacy page. Short version: message text, keys, and phone numbers are never logged, keys are stored only as a hash, and you can erase everything with DELETE /v1/me.

Changes and shutdown

We may update these terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the new version. We may also change or discontinue the service, and where practical we will give reasonable notice. If the service shuts down, remaining data may be deleted.
